What Is an otpauth:// Link?

otpauth:// is a configuration link commonly used by authenticator apps and account providers.

The link can contain an account label, issuer, Base32 secret, algorithm, code length, and refresh period. Authenticator apps read these parameters when you scan a QR code.

If you have the complete link, paste it into this tool. It contains your secret, so clear your clipboard afterward and never publish it.

How to use it

  1. Copy the complete link from a trusted account security page.
  2. Paste it into the 2FA code generator.
  3. Confirm that the generated code matches the sign-in service’s requirements.
